Privacy Notice
Which personal data this site processes, why and how, who it is shared with, and your rights under Turkish Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (KVKK).

What data I process and why
1. When you visit the site
The site runs on Google Firebase Hosting. Each visit writes your IP address, browser and device information, the page you visited, and the date and time to the server logs.
- Purpose: running the site, keeping it secure and preventing abuse.
- Legal basis: legitimate interest (KVKK art. 5/2-f).
2. Your cookie choice
Your answer in the cookie box is stored in your browser so you are not asked again. It does not identify you and is not sent anywhere.

3. If you allow it: analytics and marketing
Depending on the categories you allow in the cookie box, these tools run: for analytics, Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity; for marketing, LinkedIn Insight Tag, Meta Pixel and Google Ads. You can choose the two categories separately under "Preferences". They process online identifiers, your IP address, device information and your interactions with the page (pages visited, clicks, scrolling). Clarity keeps a record of movements on the page, such as clicks and scrolling.
- Purpose: understanding and improving how the site is used; showing you more relevant content on LinkedIn, Meta and Google and measuring its results.
- Legal basis: your explicit consent (KVKK art. 5/1). If you choose "Reject", none of these tools run and the site works the same.
- Withdrawing consent: use "Cookie preferences" at the bottom of every page. When you withdraw, these tools' cookies are deleted from your browser.
4. When you book a call
"Book a call" opens a Google Calendar booking page. The name, email address and notes you enter there are processed to schedule the call.
- Legal basis: steps directly related to entering into a contract (KVKK art. 5/2-c) and legitimate interest (art. 5/2-f).
5. When you email me
Your name, email address and the content of our correspondence are processed to answer your request.

Your personal data is shared only with the service providers I use to run this site:

Providers' privacy policies: Google, Microsoft, LinkedIn, Meta.
Transfers abroad follow the order set out in article 9 of KVKK: an adequacy decision for the destination country where one exists; otherwise appropriate safeguards provided for by the Board (including standard contracts); and, in incidental cases where these are not possible, your explicit consent after being informed of the possible risks. Your data is not sold or used for any other purpose.
How long it is kept
- Server logs: up to 30 days.
- Google Analytics data: 14 months.
- Other analytics and marketing data: as long as each tool's retention setting; see the Cookie Policy.
- Correspondence and booking records: for the duration of the business relationship and legal retention periods.
Your rights
Under article 11 of KVKK you have the right to:
- learn whether your personal data is processed and request information if it is,
- learn the purpose of processing and whether it is used accordingly,
- know the third parties in Türkiye or abroad to whom it is transferred,
- request correction if it is incomplete or inaccurate,
- request deletion or destruction, and that these actions be notified to third parties it was transferred to,
- object to a result against you arising solely from automated analysis,
- claim compensation if you suffer damage from unlawful processing.
Requests: write to merhaba@ahmetsenkaya.com from your own email address. Include your full name, Turkish ID number (for foreigners, nationality and passport number), contact details and the subject of your request. I may ask for additional information to verify your identity.
Your request will be concluded within 30 days at the latest. Answers are free of charge; if the request involves an additional cost, a fee may be charged according to the tariff set by the Board.
